Classic Cars North and South

I had some business to do,  so I went South to go North. North Port that is. I'd  been told that some car nuts, coffee and doughnuts could be found. Best of all though, were the cars. There were a few Lincoln and Zephyr officiaonos who like me had photos. I also shared with them an exhaustive list of hard to find Lincoln and Zephyr parts.

These are some of the cars and trucks I found in North Port this overcast rainy morning.

I am looking forward to North Port on a Sunny Day. Coffee and Doughnuts and Cars Oh My!

What value do you put on the 1984 Ferrari 512BBi?

Investing in cars can be as perplexing as investing in the StockMarket.

  • Notice how the value in this Ferrari has vacillated since 2006 according to Hagerty's Value Tool. Notice also the high value of this car as a # 1, according to Hagerty, is approximately $160,0000. Examples of this car can be found today listed at 299,900 Hemmings Motors and DuPont Registry at $159,900.  Back in August of 2013 one of these sold at a RM Auction at $170,500.

So:
$159,900
$160,000
$170,500
$299,995
That's perplexing isn't it.

So what is the investor to think? Better yet, What is an investor to do? If you have an interest and are thinking about investing visit WeBe Autos for details on this beauty.

What is the difference between a Restoration and a Resto-Mod?

What is a Resto-Mod you ask?

Resto-Mod (restoration + modern parts/technology) draws from all the amazing advancements in automobile technology over the past 40+ years to enhance the performance, comfort and safety of the classic car. A restomod car has the timeless appearance of the original, but the outdated guts of the car have been replaced with the more modern, high-performance parts of today. You achieve the same great look, but your vintage car will be revved up with all the latest bells and whistles to create a much better ride for the owner.

Below you will find a fine example of a Resto-Mod. This 1957 Corvette has been fitted with LS6  405-hp Z06, a 6 speed transmission and much more.....

Yum Yum Again

Coffee, Donuts, Cars ~ Yum Yum!

What did you do this Wednesday morning? Did it have to do with cars?

A week had gone by and it was time for another trip to the bakery. So I forced myself to go get a great cup of coffee and doughnut. While I was there I meet some really great car enthusiast, handed out a few business cards, and of course took some photos of great cars. ( see all the photos )

What I like best about this setting is the relaxed atmosphere. No trophies here just coffee, doughnuts, cars and great car stories. It doesn't get better than that.

1963 Corvette Convertible

Five decades after its introduction, the 1963 Corvette remains one of the most startling, engrossing and completely thrilling automotive designs of all time. For discerning enthusiasts, the 1963 Corvettes are the most compelling of the series.

The 1963 Corvette Sting Ray not only had a new design, but also newfound handling prowess. The Sting Ray was also a somewhat lighter Corvette, so acceleration improved despite unchanged horsepower. 21,513 units would be built for the 1963 model. Production was divided almost evenly between the convertible and the new coupe - 10,919 and 10,594, respectively -

My latest travels brought me to one of these beautiful car, part of of a Corvette Collector's Collection.

Dearborn Street Car Show

Englewood, Florida

January 4th 2014

5pm to 9pm

On the first Saturday of every month Dearborn Street, Englewood Florida opens up its street to cars and visitors. Cars stared showing up by early Saturday but by 6 PM it started to rain. It had a dampening effect on  a great car show. Looking forward to next month's show.
